General information

The Italian island of Sardinia has three international airports, Cagliari Airport in the south and Alghero Airport and Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport in the north. Cagliari Airport has one terminal and one runway. Cagliari, the capital and largest city of Sardinia, can be reached from the airport by train and taxi. The airport has its own railway station called ‘Elmas Aeroporto’.

Cagliari Airport is located in the south of Sardinia, northwest of the island’s capital. The largest part of the airport is surrounded by water (Stagno di Cagliari). The airport is accessible by car via the roads SS130 and SS391.
