General information

Calgary Airport is Canada’s fourth busiest airport and home to low-cost carrier WestJet. The airport is conveniently located for the city of Calgary, Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. Calgary Airport is one of the two international airports in the province of Alberta, the other being Edmonton Airport. The cities of Calgary and Edmonton are 300 kilometres / 186 miles apart, travel time by car is at least 3 hours. The city of Calgary is among other things known for Calgary Stampede, the largest festival in Canada that is celebrated every year in July (10 days).

Where is Calgary Airport situated?

Calgary Airport is located in the north of the city close to Highway 2 (Deerfoot Trail). Trans-Canada Highway 1 is also a short distance from the airport.

How many terminals does Calgary Airport have?

The airport has two terminals located next to each other, one for domestic flights (Domestic Terminal) and one for international flights (International Terminal). Both terminals are connected by a corridor, in addition there is the YYC LINK Passenger Shuttle. Domestic Terminal consists of boarding gates A, B, and C, International Terminals consists of boarding gates D (Departures International) and E (Departures USA). The modern international terminal was put into operation in 2016. The walking distance between gates A and gates D/E is 12 minutes, the YYC LINK needs only 5 minutes.
