General information

Cape Town Airport is one of the busiest airports in Africa, consisting of three terminals and two runways. The airport offers many international connections, but not as many as South Africa’s busiest airport: Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport. From Cape Town Airport, also known as D.F. Malan Airport, several flights a day depart to Johannesburg, Durban, Kruger Mpumalanga and other destinations in South Africa. Most flights are operated by Airlink, FlySafair, CemAir and LIFT.

Where is Cape Town Airport situated?

The airport in Matroosfontein is located east of the city centre, Port of Cape Town and Table Mountain and north of the Cape of Good Hope. From the city you can reach the airport by following the Settlers Way. Overberg and Garden Route (Eden) are popular districts with tourists, located east of Cape Town.

How many terminals does Cape Town Airport have?

Cape Town Airport has one terminal building which is divided into three parts: International Terminal, Central Terminal and Domestic Terminal. International Terminal is located in the northern part, Domestic Terminal in the southern part. All check-in facilities can be found in Central Terminal. At Cape Town Airport you have many shopping, eating and drinking options, there is free WiFi for a period of 4 hours.
