General information

The busiest airport in the Nordics (30 million passengers in 2024) is known as one of the best airports in Europe, located close to the city centre. Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian offer many flights to and from Copenhagen Airport, called Kastrup Airport by locals. You can travel by metro, train and bus from the airport to the capital of Denmark. Copenhagen Airport has a metro station and a train station, both of which can be reached via Terminal 3. The airport’s metro station is located on top of parking garage P7, the walking distance is 3 to 5 minutes. The railway station named Københavns Lufthavn Station is a bit closer. At the airport you will find two excellent hotels, namely Clarion Hotel and Comfort Hotel.

Where is Copenhagen Airport situated?

The airport is located southeast of Copenhagen on the island of Amager. The airport is easily accessible, by air and by car from Sjælland (Copenhagen), Fyn (Odense) and Sweden (Malmö).

How many terminals does Copenhagen Airport have?

Copenhagen Airport consists of Terminal 2 (Gates A, B) and Terminal 3 (Gates C, D). The low cost pier CPH Go / F Pier (Gates F1-F10), currently operated by Ryanair, Wizz Air, easyJet and Transavia, can be reached via Terminal 3. After the security check, it is a 20-minute walk to the gates in Pier F. The security check at Copenhagen Airport is located between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. There is one baggage reclaim hall at the airport, located in Terminal 3. After landing at the airport, you have the option to buy a typical Danish hot dog at Steff’s Place while waiting for your luggage in the baggage reclaim hall.
