Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast, also known as Côte d’Ivoire, lies in West Africa. The capital of Ivory Coast is Yamoussoukro, which is situated in the centre of the country. Yamoussoukro is not the largest city of Ivory Coast, this is Abidjan. Abidjan is located on the Gulf of Guinea and is economically speaking the most important place in the country.

Abidjan’s airport, named Félix-Houphouët-Boigny Airport, is also the largest airport in the country. The country has three National Parks which are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List: Taï National Park, Comoé National Park and Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve.
