The country is widely known because of its great nature with many beautiful national parks and reserves. The most famous places in Tanzania are Serengeti National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest peak) and the fascinating island of Zanzibar. The island is located not far from Dar es Salaam, the busiest city in the country. Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa, is partly situated in Tanzania. More than 100 languages are spoken in the country, many residents speak both Swahili and English.
The busiest airports in Tanzania are located near Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar City and Moshi, south of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. The capital city Dodoma has only a small regional airport.
