Uganda is situated on the largest lake of Africa, Lake Victoria. The former British Colony is surrounded by five countries: South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It has a wonderful landscape which attracts many tourists. Visitors are able to see the source of the Nile (Jinja) and wild animals like chimpanzees and gorillas. The official languages are English and Swahili. Uganda’s capital is Kampala which is commercially and politically the most important city in the country. Also, Kampala is a very safe and tourist-friendly city.
