The ski resort Stubaital is located close to Innsbruck at 25 kilometres from Innsbruck Airport.

Characteristics of the ski area

There are special ski buses that run between the ski areas. The buses often run within between the villages, less often within cities, so pay attention. You could also rent a car so that you will have more freedom to go anywhere you want.

Ski resort Serles
The ski areas of Stubaital are spread over the left and right of the valley. The smallest ski area is the best place for beginners and children to ski. This area located near the village of Mieders at the beginning of the Stubaital. Several easy pistes characterise the ski area.
Advanced skiers will soon be skied out here. However, it’s a great, beautiful area for cross-country skiing, and there are even several winter hiking trails at an altitude of 1600-1800 meters.

Ski resort Elferlifte
Near the village of Neustift is a ski area that is a fraction larger than the ski area in Serles. This ski area has three runs, namely two red runs and a blue run. The beauty of the red track is that it runs all the way from the top to down in the valley. Also, the area is mainly known for its two toboggan runs. These are beautiful and have a lot of hairpin bends. A must do!

Ski resort Fulpmes
The third ski area is an excellent ski area for families. The slope, called Schlick 2000, is the largest ski area and the area offers the most challenge for skiers. There is something to do for every skier.

There are several beautiful ski areas near Innsbruck Airport. For example, you can already be on the slopes of the Nordkette ski area within 9 minutes. How cool is that?!

Have you already booked a hotel or are you looking for a place to stay in the centre? The advantage of staying in the centre is that there is an underground train which allows you to travel between the village and the gondola.

There is a direct bus connection between Innsbruck Airport and the centre of Innsbruck. It will take about 20 minutes to travel by bus to the city centre. If you want to go to the centre or directly to the ski area, a taxi or bus transfer may be a better choice.
