There are many easy accessible slopes between trees, and there are no real valleys so you can quickly ski anywhere you like. The two main villages Saalbach and Hinterglemm are located in the middle of the ski area so you can make various tours around the villages. The slopes are mainly located on the two flanks.

The connection with Fieberbrunn has been realised in the 2015-2016 season. The gondola that connects the valley station Reckmoos Süd with the Reiterkogel in Fieberbrunn is called the TirolS gondola.

Regarding après-ski possibilities, you will find not many ski areas where it is cosier than over here. Especially the villages Saalbach and Hinterglemm are frequented visited by Dutch winter sports enthusiasts. The ski area is an elongated area where you take the time to ski all the way from Maria Alm to Mühlbach am Hochkönig. You will then have to go back again, so you are working on it here. But this is also fine for families as these slopes are generally not too steep.

If you like a quiet and calm ski resort, this is a better destination than, for example, Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. The lifts are modern, and nature is breathtaking.
There are plenty of eating possibilities that will satisfy your needs. For example, you can rest on top of the 2941 meter high Hochkönig while enjoying a nice cup of coffee or something to eat. You should not expect too much from the après-ski options.

The black valley run from the Karbachalm to Mühlbach is highly recommended for the advanced skier. An outstanding red run is piste 11 which runs parallel to the Dacheggbahn.
