Florianópolis is a holiday destination in southern Brazil, especially popular among Brazilian tourists. The airport mainly handles flights to destinations within Brazil and neighbouring countries, however there is also direct service to North America (Panama City, Copa Airlines) and Europe (Lisbon, TAP Air Portugal, launched in September 2024). The terminal at Florianópolis Airport is located south of the runway (2,400 metres). Boulevard 14/32 is a large commercial area directly in front of the airport entrance.
