Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport is a major airport in Southern Florida, located 44 kilometres / 27 miles from Miami Airport. The airport is mainly used by low-cost carriers and a cheaper alternative to Miami Airport. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport is the main base for ultra low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines, as well as a hub for Southwest Airlines, jetBlue and Allegiant Air. The airport consists of four terminals (T1, T2, T3, T4) and two runways.

The airport is located exactly between the two cities, south of Fort Lauderdale and north of Hollywood. By car, you can reach Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport via Interstate 95 / I-95 Express from the north and south of Florida.

How many terminals does Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport have?

The airport has four terminals, all named after a color, they are known as T1 Yellow Terminal (Concourses A, B and C), T2 Red Terminal (Concourse D), T3 Purple Terminal (Concourses E and F) and T4 Green Terminal (Concourse G). Only Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 are interconnected, after the security check. You can travel between the terminals by free shuttle buses, the bus stops are located on the Lower Level of all terminals. The shuttle services run every day of the week between 06:00 hours and 21:00 hours. Terminal 4 functions as the operating base of Spirit Airlines, Terminal 3 is used by jetBlue.
