General information

Guayaquil Airport is the second busiest airport in Ecuador after Quito Mariscal Sucre Airport. The airport has one runway and one terminal with a capacity of 7.5 million passengers per year. A new airport is currently being built 40 kilometres / 25 miles from the city centre, called Guayaquil Daular Airport. The airport is expected to be commissioned in 2028 and will have a capacity of 16 million passengers per year. Guayaquil Airport is very convenient if you want to take a flight to the Galapagos Islands, the airlines Avianca, LATAM Airlines and Equair offer direct flights to Seymour Airport and San Cristóbal Airport.

Where is Guayaquil Airport situated?

The airport is located in the north of the city a short distance from the centre of Guayaquil. By car, you can reach the airport via Avenida de Las Américas.

How many terminals does Guayaquil Airport have?

The airport has a modern terminal. The Arrivals hall (Domestic Arrivals and International Arrivals) is located on the ground floor, the Departures hall (check-in desks and security check) on the first floor.
