Hong Kong Airport is one of the busiest and best airports in the world, located in the Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. Hong Kong Airport is the biggest cargo airport in the world and the main base of Cathay Pacific, HK Express and Hong Kong Airlines. The airport was built on an artificial island (Chek Lap Kok) and opened in 1998 for passenger flights.

How many terminals does Hong Kong Airport have?
Hong Kong Airport currently operates a single terminal, namely Terminal 1. This terminal features a main building with gates and an extensive Y-shaped pier housing many more gates. Additionally, there are two concourses: the T1 Satellite Concourse, located to the north and opened in December 2009, and the T1 Midfield Concourse, situated to the west and opened in December 2015. T1 Satellite Concourse is accessible via the Sky Bridge, while the T1 Midfield Concourse is connected by an APM automated people mover. The old Terminal 2 closed in 2019, the new Terminal 2 set to open in 2025.
