Departure from this airport is unstructured and very chaotic. The trays for the scanning belt are thrown on the ground and you have to pick them up from the ground. Some people, including us, even had to put our shoes through the scanner. You have to go through the scanner again at another location. You are treated like animals. Finally through customs, etc. you immediately hear someone from a store say "cigarettes". I went to have a look and wanted to take these for a friend. The offer was 20 dollars for a carton. I said that I would call my friend first to see if she wanted this. I walked out of the store for this, went to make a call, and the salesperson was standing next to me during the conversation. When paying for 3 cartons, the salesperson wanted 45 euros. When I said 40 dollars, he gave in after a lot of fuss. At Burger King you will encounter an overheated salesperson who treats both his employees and customers very unfriendly. When I wanted to buy another souvenir and I saw an offer of 2 + 1 free I wanted to pay for it and I got a completely different much higher price. I pointed out the offer to him, will it apply to a completely different product. When I said something about this I got the answer in a not friendly tone "OUT OF MY SHOP !!!. I asked him why and got the answer that I was ruining his business. Unbelievable right? What a disgrace, for me a reason to NEVER want to go to this country again where showing respect is not really a high priority. Cheating and antisocial behavior are the order of the day here. 0 STARS deserve this with flying colors. Too bad this is not possible. Stay away is my advice.

Agree with the rest. This airport is the number one at treating people in the worst way. The staff working here are un-polite, arrogant and a shame of humanity. So far from how people in the hotels, shops etc. in Hurghada behave. Just having a system where you need to take of and x-ray your shoes 2 times, show your passport 4 times and fill in a ridiculous visa form (leaving the country!) just prove how stupid their behaviour are. If it wasn't for the good diving in the Red Sea, I would never visit this country.

The airport in Hurghada is an absolute disgrace. The airport is clean in the public areas however the toilets lack of toilet paper and are not particularly clean. The internet is free for 15 minutes, if you manage to connect which I could not, it did not work for me. The worst of all are the security checks and very unpleasant and rude airport staff. I had to go through nine security checks including two x-ray and one bag search. It was a nightmare. The staff is not helpful as they are very unfriendly.

My recent experience at Hurghada Airport was nothing short of disgraceful. The behavior of the airport staff was shameless, rude, and racist, leaving me deeply disappointed and infuriated. It is disheartening to witness such underqualified, dim-witted, and corrupt individuals in positions of authority.

As Kurds who couldn't speak Arabic fluently but lived in Sweden, we became the target of the old individual who checked our passports. It seemed like he harbored some ill feelings towards us. He went out of his way to ensure that we missed our flight, deliberately mispronouncing our names and searching for any excuse to argue with us about trivial matters. He bombarded us with intrusive questions about our father's name, birthplace, and our inability to speak Arabic.

After some time, he conveniently pretended to be ignorant of the English language and began interrogating us in Arabic. It was only when someone behind us stepped forward to assist with translation that he shifted his focus to Saddam Hussein, praising him as a great man—ironically, the same man responsible for a genocide against our people.

When we confronted him about his behavior, he responded by hurling curses at us in his language. The flight was delayed as a result, and we were fortunate enough to escape the clutches of this appalling airport. Our initial intention had been to help the kind and needy individuals we encountered during our stay, but after enduring such treatment, I can confidently say that I will never set foot in Egypt again.

I sincerely hope that the airport authorities take this review seriously and address the abysmal state of affairs. The treatment we received is an embarrassment to the friendly and helpful people we encountered in the city, who truly made our stay amazing. Hurghada Airport must reconsider the hiring and training of its staff if it wishes to maintain any semblance of credibility and hospitality.

My expensive stuff were stolen at Hurghada airport. I sent an email to the airport management asking for help and I got the reply from the customer service department of the airport but it was very disappointing. Customer service staff are not helpful, their English is very poor, they don't pay any attention to the customers. For some months I sent them many emails asking for assistance but I was ignored.
