General information

Kampala Entebbe Airport is the only international airport in the African country of Uganda, close to the centre of Entebbe (75,000 inhabitants) and Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria is Africa’s largest lake, named after Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom by British explorer John Hanning Speke. The airport has two terminals and is home to the national carrier Uganda Airlines. Domestic flights from Kampala Entebbe Airport are operated by Eagle Air and Aerolink Uganda.

The airport is located in the municipality of Entebbe southwest of Kampala. From the capital of Uganda, the fastest way to reach the airport is via the Kampala – Entebbe Expressway.

How many terminals does Kampala Entebbe Airport have?

Kampala Entebbe Airport has two terminals, one for Arrivals and one for Departures. The new terminal (Departures) opened in 2021 and is connected to the old terminal (Arrivals).
