Kilimanjaro Airport is an airport in the north of Tanzania, close to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. Most arriving passengers at Kilimanjaro Airport (“The Gateway to Africa’s Wildlife Heritage”) travel to Moshi or Arusha. Moshi is located at the foot of Kilimanjaro and known as the starting point for a climb of the highest mountain in Africa (5,895 metres). Arusha is Tanzania’s third largest city, ideally located for visiting Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park and Tarangire National Park. Arusha also has its own airport. KLM via Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Turkish Airlines via Istanbul Airport offer direct flights from Europe to Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania.

Where is Kilimanjaro Airport situated?
The airport is located southwest of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park, west of Moshi and east of Arusha. Both cities can be reached via the Arusha – Himo Road (A23).
