General information
Kittilä Airport is one of four international airports in Finnish Lapland together with Rovaniemi Airport, Ivalo Airport and Kuusamo Airport. The airport is located close to well-known winter sports destinations (Levi/Sirkka and Ylläsjärvi/Äkäslompolo) and is therefore mainly used in the winter months. The mountain area of Ylläs is located exactly between the villages of Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo. Kittilä Airport has grown in popularity in recent years, also because there are many more things to do besides winter sports, such as tours with huskies and reindeer, snowmobile driving and ice fishing. There are daily flights between Kittilä Airport and Helsinki Airport.

The airport is located north of Kittilä, it can be accessed by car via Finnish national road 79 and Finnish national road 80. Kittilä Airport is located near the ski resorts of Sirkka / Levi Ski Resort, Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo.
How many terminals does Kittilä Airport have?
The airport has one terminal consisting of two floors. On the ground floor you will find the check-in desks on the right and the Arrivals hall on the left. In the terminal there are rocking chairs all over the place.
