Kolkata Airport is a major international airport in eastern India (West Bengal), the airport is named after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Kolkata was known as Calcutta until 2001, the IATA airport code CCU is derived from this name. Kolkata is a lively city with many sights, from 1858 to 1911 Calcutta was the capital of British India (British Raj). Kolkata is a city in the northeast of India, located close to the border with neighbouring Bangladesh. The airport is situated in Dum Dum northeast of Kolkata.

How many terminals does Kolkata Airport have?

The airport has one terminal known as Terminal 2 or NITB (New Integrated Terminal Building). The terminal was officially opened in 2013 and consists of six floors. In the future, a new terminal will open to handle the growing number of passengers, Terminal 1 will be built north of the current Terminal 2.
