General information

The island of Borneo consists of four parts, namely Kalimantan (part of Indonesia) in the south and Brunei, Sarawak and Sabah in the north. Brunei is a country, Sarawak and Sabah are the two largest states in Malaysia. Kuching is the capital of Sarawak and has about 400,000 inhabitants. Kuching Airport is Sarawak’s main airport and mainly used by Malaysia Airlines and low-cost carrier AirAsia. The airport is mostly used for domestic flights, especially from/to Kuala Lumpur Airport.

The airport is situated in the south of the city close to the AH-150 (Pan-Borneo Highway).

Kuching Airport has a modern terminal. On the ground floor you will find International Arrivals on the right and Domestic Arrivals on the left. Upon arrival, you can arrange a taxi and rental car in the Arrivals hall.
