Lima Jorge Chávez Airport is located in Callao, the seaside city is home to the busiest airport and the largest port in Peru. About 1 million people live in Callao, after Lima (11 million in the metropolitan area) and Arequipa it is the largest city in Peru. The airport is named after the Peruvian aviation pioneer Jorge Chávez and has one large terminal. The airport serves as one of the hubs for the South American carriers LATAM Airlines, Sky Airline and JetSmart. In 2024, Lima Jorge Chávez Airport handled 24.5 million passengers.

The airport is located just northwest of Lima, not far from the Pacific Ocean. By road, you can reach Lima Jorge Chávez Airport via the busy street Auxiliar Morales Duarez.

How many terminals does Lima Jorge Chávez Airport have?

The airport has one terminal, which officially opened on June 1, 2025. The old airport terminal is currently out of service. The new terminal at Lima Jorge Chávez Airport has four floors. The Arrivals hall is on the ground floor (1er Nivel), the Departures hall is on the second floor (3er Nivel). The desks of the car rental companies can be found on the first floor (2do Nivel), from where you can also reach the promenade and the Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol Lima Airport hotel via a walkway.
