Lithuania is the most southern country of the Baltic states. The country borders Belarus, Poland and Russia in the south. The most interesting sights are the cities of Vilnius, Kaunas and Hill of Crosses (close to Šiauliai) and Trakai Castle (close to Vilnius). In the summer you can relax on the coast, in Palanga and Nida on the Kuršių nerija peninsula. The country joined the eurozone in 2015, as the last of the three Baltic states.
