Public transport

Bus to Ljubljana

The cheapest way to get into the centre of the Slovenian capital is by public transport. Every hour a bus departs to and from the airport, however at weekends the bus runs less frequently. The bus service is operated by Arriva/Alpetour, their buses are comfortable and equipped with air conditioning. The bus stop of Ljubljana Airport is located in front of the terminal (Letališče Brnik), the stop in the city centre can be found at the main bus station (Avtobusna postaja Ljubljana). Ljubljana’s bus station is located next to the main railway station and is accessible by bus in about 50 minutes.

You can buy tickets from the bus driver for the price of € 4.10 each. The last bus from Ljubljana Airport leaves at 20:00 hours, the first bus from the city departs at 05:00 hours (weekdays) or 07:00 hours (weekends). There is also a bus between Ljubljana Airport and Kranj, every 30 minutes from Monday to Friday. The price of a ticket is € 1.80.
