Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport is the busiest airport in the Philippines and one of the largest airports in Asia. The airport is named after Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. and consists of four terminals and two runways. The airport is located in a densely populated area close to Manila, Quezon City and Caloocan, three of the five largest cities in the Philippines. In addition, the modern city of Makati is nearby, known as the financial center of the Philippines. The majority of the flights at the airport are operated by Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and Philippines AirAsia.

Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport has four terminals, namely Terminal 1 (International, 17% of total number of passengers), Terminal 2 (Dom & Int, 22.5%), Terminal 3 (Dom & Int, 48.5%) and Terminal 4 (Domestic, 12%). Terminal 3 in the northeast of the airport is the airport’s largest and newest terminal. Terminal 4 is the airport’s oldest terminal. Terminal 2, also known as Centennial Terminal, is used exclusively by Philippine Airlines (and PAL Express), international carriers use T1 and T3. Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport’s terminals are not within walking distance of each other, so free shuttle buses run between terminals T1, T2, T3 and T4, 24 hours a day. Keep in mind, the terminals of the airport are only accessible if you have a ticket, for this reason it is often very busy outside the terminals.
