Marsa Alam is a holiday destination on the Red Sea in the east of Egypt. It is one of the three popular beach destinations in Egypt together with Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. Most hotels and resorts are located on the coast near Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam. South of Marsa Alam you can find the beautiful Wadi El Gemal National Park. Marsa Alam Airport was opened in 2003, it’s the only privately owned and operated international airport in Egypt.
Where is Marsa Alam Airport situated?
Marsa Alam Airport is situated in eastern Egypt halfway between the cities of El Quseir (50,000 inhabitants) and Marsa Alam (10,000 inhabitants). El Quseir is a 5,000 year old city and worth a visit, in Marsa Alama there is little to do. The airport in Port Ghalib is easily accessible via motorway 65 that runs along the coast.

The airport has one terminal, Departures is on the right, Arrivals on the left. Upon arrival, you will reach the buses and taxis via stairs.
