General information

Marseille is the oldest city in France, located at the Mediterranean Sea in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Free shuttle buses run from the airport to the railway station Vitrolles Aéroport Marseille Provence.

Marseille Airport is located north-west of the city. You can easily reach the airport via the A7 motorway, which is the southern part of the ‘Autoroute du Soleil’.

How many terminals does Marseille Airport have?

The airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 (MP1) and Terminal 2 (MP2). In 2006 Marseille Airport opened as the first airport in Europe a terminal dedicated to low-cost flights: MP2 (Marseille Provence 2). Terminal 1 has been expanded and modernised in recent years, the renovated terminal opened its doors in May 2024. Terminal 1 has a modern appearance and a capacity of 12 million passengers per year. The terminals at Marseille Airport are within walking distance of each other.
