General information

Medellín José María Córdova Airport is the second busiest airport in Colombia, close to the city of Rionegro and at some distance from Medellín. However, the opening of Túnel De Oriente, the longest tunnel in Colombia, in August 2019 has resulted in a shorter journey time between from the airport to the city centre. The airport offers many daily connections to Bogota, Cali and Cartagena, operated by Avianca, Wingo and LATAM Airlines. There are multiple ATMs located around the airport.

The airport terminal has the shape of a half moon and consists of three floors, Arrivals can be found on the ground floor (Piso 1) and Departures on the first floor (Piso 2). On the second floor is a Food Court (Piso 3). In the Departures hall you will find Check-in hall A (Domestic, Avianca and LATAM) and Check-in hall B (International) in the middle, International Departures on the left and National Departures on the right. The Arrivals hall consists of International Arrivals 1 and Domestic Arrivals 2, 3, 4 and 5.
