General information

Mérida Airport is the second busiest airport on the Yucatan Peninsula, Cancún Airport is the largest. Mérida is one of the safest cities in Latin America, home to about 1 million people. The city is named after Mérida in Spain, the capital of the Extremadura region. In the west of Venezuela is another city called Mérida.

The airport is located in the southwest of the city, on the route Mérida – Umán (México 261, Benito Juárez).

How many terminals does Mérida Airport have?

The airport has one modern terminal. You will find check-in desks on the right and left side of the terminal. The counters of the car rental companies are also located on the left, as are ATMs of Banco Santander. Arrivals is located in the middle of the terminal, the security check and boarding gates on the first floor can be reached by escalator. The first street in front of the terminal of Mérida Airport is for Pick Up & Drop Off, the second street is reserved for taxis.
