Monastir Airport is one of the busiest airports in Tunisia, named after Habib Bourguiba. He was born in Monastir in 1957 and was the first president of the Republic of Tunisia. The location of the airport is excellent, close to holiday destinations Monastir, Sousse and Port El Kantaoui. Just like Enfidha-Hammamet Airport, TAV Airports Holding is the airport’s operator.

The airport is located west of Monastir, between a lake (Lac de Monastir Sahline) and the Mediterranean Sea. There are several luxury resorts located at a short distance from the airport. Sfax, the second city in the country, is 133 kilometres away from Monastir Airport.
