General information

Since commissioning of the new terminal at the end of 2009, the airport in Uruguay is known as one of the most convenient airports in South America (“always clean and empty”). The only direct flights between Europe and Montevideo are operated by Iberia and Air Europa from Madrid Barajas Airport.

Where is Montevideo Carrasco Airport situated?

Montevideo Carrasco Airport is located on the outskirts of the city, east of the city centre and close to the chic residential area Carrasco. The beach and Hotel Carrasco (Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco & Spa) are located south of the airport.

How many terminals does Montevideo Carrasco Airport have?

The airport features a modern and spacious terminal that was opened in 2009. The terminal consists of three levels, Arrivals (right side) and Domestic Departures (left side) can be found on the ground floor. The check-in desks 1 to 44 and the boarding gates 1 to 8 (after security) are located on the first floor. On the second floor, you can find the public panorama terrace, the outdoor area is opened daily from 10:00 hours to 18:00 hours.
