Train Aeroexpress to Moscow

You can easily travel from Moscow Vnukovo Airport to the city, by Aeroexpress. At least once every hour a train departs to and from Moscow Vnukovo Airport, the journey time is 35 to 40 minutes. The underground train station at the airport is only a few minutes walk from terminals A, B and D. The train runs non-stop to railway station Kievsky, west of the centre and near metro station Kievskaya. You can change to the metro to reach the city centre, it takes 6 minutes with metro line 1 to metro station Okhotny Ryad.

SAVING TIPS: Tickets can be bought at the airport, but online it is easier and cheaper (450 RUB one way, 900 RUB return). A group ticket can be used by four people and costs 1,100 RUB for a single journey and 1,800 RUB for a return (valid for 30 days). The price is the same online and from the ticket machine. Aeroexpress trains run without stopping, besides you can use free WiFi aboard since early 2015.

Bus and metro to Moscow

It is more economical to choose the combination of bus and metro. Buses run between Moscow Vnukovo Airport and metro stations in the southwest of the city. The airport bus stop is 400 metres from Terminal A. Bus 911 runs every 7 minutes to and from Salaryevo station (Саларьево), the journey time is 20 minutes. Bus 611 leaves every 20 minutes from and to Troparyovo station (Тропарёво) and Yugo-Zapadnaya station (Юго-Западная), a bus ride takes 30 to 40 minutes. At these three metro stations, you can change to metro line 1 towards the centre of Moscow.

Travel time to Okhotny Ryad in the historical centre of Moscow is 23 minutes (Yugo-Zapadnaya), 25 minutes (Troparyovo) or 29 minutes (Salaryevo).  Okhotny Ryad metro station is located at the square Manezhnaya with the underground shopping centre Okhotny Ryad underneath it.
