JFK Airport is the largest of the three airports in and around New York, it handled 55 million passengers in 2022. New York JKF Airport has five terminals and four runways. A large portion of all flights are operated by Delta Air Lines (T4), American Airlines (T8) and jetBlue (T5). The airport is named after John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States. The airport is the busiest airport in the United States based on the number of international passengers. There are three international airports in close proximity to Manhattan, New York: New York JFK Airport, Newark Liberty Airport and New York LaGuardia Airport.

New York John F. Kennedy Airport is located in the south of the borough of Queens on Long Island, southeast of Manhattan. The airport is easily accessible by car via the Interstate 678 highway.
How many terminals does New York JFK Airport have?
The airport has five terminals, known as Terminal 1, Terminal 4, Terminal 5, Terminal 7 and Terminal 8. Two terminals are currently under construction, JFK Terminal One (replacement of T1/T2/T3) and Terminal 6, both will be inaugurated in 2028. At New York JFK Airport, you will find an ‘automated people mover’ called JFK AirTrain on the landside of all terminals. The AirTrain is available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day between the airport terminals and Jamaica and Howard Beach stations. The AirTrain also stops at Federal Circle station, where the car rental companies are located, and Lefferts Boulevard station. You can use the AirTrain for free between the terminals and Federal Circle, Lefferts Boulevard, Howard Beach and Jamaica stations. However, if you travel further from Jamaica Station (LIRR/Subway) or Howard Beach Station (Subway) you will have to pay a fee of $ 8.75.
Terminal 5 is a very modern terminal at JFK Airport, used by jetBlue and Cape Air. Unfortunately, you have to walk a long way from Terminal 5 to the taxi stand and JFK AirTrain station. TWA Hotel opposite Terminal 5 is the only hotel at the airport, other hotels near JFK Airport are only accessible by a shuttle bus service. Terminal 8 is a hub of the Oneworld alliance, American Airlines and British Airways among others operate from T8. Terminal 8 consists of a main building (Concourse B) and a satellite terminal (Concourse C), which can be reached via a tunnel.
