The airport is named after two famous Sicilian anti-mafia judges and officially called Falcone Borsellino Airport. Palermo Airport – Rome Fiumicino Airport is the second busiest air route in Italy. Palermo Airport is located 33 kilometers / 20.5 miles from the centre of Palermo, the largest city in Sicily. You can reach the centre of Palermo by train, bus, taxi or rental car.

The second busiest airport in Sicily is located on the coast, northwest of the Sicilian capital Palermo. Palermo Airport can be reached via the A29/E90 motorway, exit ‘Puntaraisi – Aeroporto Falcone Borsellino’.

How many terminals does Palermo Airport have?

Palermo Airport consists of one terminal with four floors, namely the train station on level -1, the Arrivals hall on the ground floor, the check-in desks on the first floor and the Departures hall on the second floor (commercial zone, security check, boarding gates). Check-in desks 27 to 36 are the exception, they are located on the ground floor close to the car rental desks.
