Train to Paris

Once arrived at the airport, you can take RER train line B to get to the centre of Paris. RER train line B is one of the five lines in the RER system serving Paris. The main stations of this commuter rail line are Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 (T2) and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle (T1 and T3) at the airport and Gare du Nord, Châtelet – Les Halles, Saint-Michel Notre-Dame and Denfert Rochereau in the city. The CDGVAL shuttle train service links the terminals with each other. The station Aéroport Charles de Gaulle can be found at Roissypôle – Gare / Terminal 3, the free automatic shuttle train CDGVAL will take you to and from Terminal 1. The journey time from the airport to the station with the most central location in the city (Châtelet – Les Halles) is 35 to 40 minutes from Terminal 2 and 32 to 37 minutes from Terminal 1 / 3.

Gare du Nord railway station and the nearby Gare de l’Est can be reached in 30 minutes. On weekdays RER train line B departs about every 10 minutes to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Besides, it runs frequently during the weekend. The price of a ‘Billet aéroport’ ticket is € 13.00 for adults and € 6.50 for children under 10 years of age. This ticket is valid in zones 1 to 5 and available from the ticket counters and ticket machines. It is also possible to buy tickets online. Travelling by public transport in Paris is free for children under 4 years. If you are four people, a taxi from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is just slightly more expensive. Roissybus to Paris

Another popular connection between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and the city is Roissybus of RATP, the price is € 13.00 per person. A ticket for children below 10 years costs € 6.50. The buses run directly from the airport to Opéra in the centre of Paris, where it is possible to change to subway lines 3, 7 and 8. You can find pick-up points in front of terminals T1, T3, T2AC, T2D and T2EF. The Paris-Opéra bus stop is located on the corner of Rue Scribe and Rue Auber streets. Roissybus runs every day of the week between 05:15 hours and 00:30 hours, the journey time is 60 to 75 minutes. The frequency is 15 to 20 minutes in both directions, tickets can be bought from red automatic vending machines at the stations, as well as on board from the bus driver. Bus and metro to Paris

Travelling to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport does not have to be expensive. By combining the bus and metro, you can reach the city centre for just € 4.50 per person. From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, bus line 350 leaves for Porte de la Chapelle (every 15 to 35 minutes) and bus line 351 for Nation – Trône (every 15 to 35 minutes). At the airport, there are bus stops at Terminal 2, Terminal 3 / Roissypole and Terminal 1.

Bus line 350 takes you to Porte de la Chapelle in about 60 minutes, where you can change to metro line 12 to Concorde in the centre of Paris, travel time is 16 minutes. In total, the journey time is approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes. Bus line 351 takes you to Nation – Trône in about 70 minutes, where you can change to metro line 1 to Châtelet in the centre of Paris, travel time is 10 minutes. In total, it takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. You can also choose to continue your journey from Porte de la Chapelle with bus line 38 to the city centre (Châtelet, 34 minutes) or from Nation – Trône with RER train line A.

Tickets are available at the airport and online through the IDF Mobilités app. The price is € 2.00 for a Bus-Tram Ticket and € 2.50 for a Metro-Train Ticket, so in total you will pay € 4.50. If you choose the combination of bus line 350 and bus line 38, you’ll need just one ticket worth € 2.00, valid for 90 minutes. A t+ ticket costs € 2.50 and can be used on the train, metro, tram and bus for 90 minutes, this ticket is not available online, only on some RER and metro stations. How to get from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris Orly Airport?

You can travel by taxi from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris Orly Airport, this is Paris’ second busiest airport. For a taxi you will pay at least € 80, you should take into account a travel time of 50 to 60 minutes. Public transportation is another option, RER train line B connects both airports. The journey time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (RER B + Orlyval). The price for adults is € 13.00, children up to age 10 pay half fare.
