General information
The second busiest airport in France is located on the outskirts of Paris and and consists of one terminal called Orly 1-2-3-4. The main airlines operating at the airport are Transavia, Air Caraïbes, easyJet and Vueling. From Paris Orly Airport you can travel to the centre of Paris by taxi, train, metro and tram. There are three hotels within walking distance of the airport, namely Novotel Paris Coeur d’Orly Airport, ibis Paris Coeur d’Orly Airport and ibis Budget Paris Coeur d’Orly Airport. The hotels can be reached via a footbridge (Passerelle Cœur) from Orly 4. As of April 2026, Air France no longer operates flights to and from Paris Orly Airport.
The capital of France has three airports, from large to small: Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris Orly Airport and Paris Beauvais Airport.
TIP: It is best to buy tickets for the Louvre Museum and Disneyland Paris some time in advance (one-day ticket / multi-day ticket).
Where is Paris Orly Airport situated?
Paris Orly Airport is situated south of the city centre. The airport is connected to Autoroute A106 and because of that easy to reach by car.
How many terminals does Paris Orly Airport have?
After renovation and expansion work, the airport changed the names of its terminals in the spring of 2019. Orly Ouest and Orly Sud are interconnected now and named differently, namely Orly 1-2-3-4. As a result, Paris Orly Airport has only one terminal. Orly Ouest is Orly 1 and Orly 2, Orly Sud is Orly 3 and Orly 4. In Orly 1, Orly 2 and Orly 3 you will find the Arrivals hall on Level 0 and the Departures hall on Level 1. In Orly 4, the Arrivals hall and Departures hall are located next to each other.
Walking between two parts of the airport takes 5 minutes, thus by foot it is 15 minutes between Orly 1 and Orly 4. The automatic shuttle train Orlyval takes travellers from Orly 1-2-3 station to Orly 4 station within a minute and vice versa and is therefore faster. Orly 4 has two Orlyval stops, one at Arrivals and one at Departures. Orly 3, the newest part of Paris Orly Airport, is located exactly between the stations Orly 1-2-3 and Orly 4. Transavia operates from Orly 3. The majority of the long-distance flights depart from Orly 4 (Air Caraïbes, Corsair International, French bee, La Compagnie).
