Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is by far the busiest airport in Arizona. It handled 48.6 million passengers in 2023.

How many terminals does Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport have?
The airport has two terminals, Terminal 3 ‘John S. McCain III’ and Terminal 4 ‘Barry M. Goldwater’. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 no longer exist. Terminal 4 is Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport’s largest terminal consisting of a central concourse and eight piers. In 2022, the new Eighth Concourse of Terminal 4 was inaugurated, the eight new gates are solely occupied by Southwest Airlines. Terminal 3 is divided into North Concourse and South Concourse. The PHX Sky Train connects Valley Metro Rail at 44th and Washington streets, East Economy Parking, the airport terminals, the 24th Street PHX Sky Train Station and the Rental Car Center. The free and automated trains run 24 hours a day every 3 to 5 minutes during peak hours.
