General information

Puerto Vallarta Airport is an international airport in western Mexico, close to the city of Puerto Vallarta (250,000 inhabitants) and Riviera Nayarit, a popular holiday destination. Riviera Nayarit is a 200-mile / 322-kilometre coastal stretch extending from San Blas in the north to Nuevo Vallarta in the south, near Puerto Vallarta. The airport is named after former president Gustavo Díaz Ordaz, popular with tourists from the United States and Canada. Puerto Vallarta Airport is after Guadalajara Airport the second busiest airport in Jalisco, one of the 31 states of Mexico. The airport has one runway and one terminal, in 2026 an additional terminal (T2) will be opened northeast of the current terminal.

Puerto Vallarta Airport is operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, just like Guadalajara Airport, Los Cabos Airport and Tijuana Airport.

The airport is located north of the city centre. Puerto Vallarta Airport is easily accessible by car or taxi via Federal Highway 200.

How many terminals does Puerto Vallarta Airport have?

Puerto Vallarta Airport has one terminal. Concourse A is part of the airport building, Concourse B is a satellite building. On the ground floor of the airport building you will find the check-in desks, Domestic Arrivals and International Arrivals from left to right. The security check is located on the first floor, after which you will come to the boarding gates of Puerto Vallarta Airport in Concourse A and Concourse B.
