General information

Pune Airport is an international airport in western India, it is one of the ten busiest airports in the country. Many flights to and from the airport are operated by IndiGo. Pune is the second largest city in the state of Maharashtra after Mumbai. Pune, formerly known as Poona, is one of the most livable cities in India.

Where is Pune Airport situated?

The airport is located in Lohegaon in the northeast of Pune. A short distance from Pune Airport, you will find Aga Khan Palace (3 km / 1.9 miles). It served as a prison for Mahatma Gandhi from 1942 to 1944.

How many terminals does Pune Airport have?

Pune Airport has one terminal consisting of an older and a newer part (opened in April 2024). The total capacity of the terminal is 16.7 million passengers per year. Opposite the terminal is Aeromall shopping center and food court, accessible via a footbridge.
