Romania is a large country bordering five countries and the Black Sea. The Carpathian Mountains dominate the centre of the country. Romania is part of the European Union since 2007. With over 20 million inhabitants, the country is the seventh largest country in the EU. Bucharest is the capital of Romania. In terms of population, the city is six times larger than Cluj-Napoca, the second city of the country. Bucharest has two airports, of which Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport (Otopeni) is the largest. Bucharest Aurel Vlaicu Airport (Baneasa) is smaller and mainly used by low-cost carriers Wizz Air and Ryanair.
