Salzburg Airport is named after the Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who was born in Salzburg in 1756. The airport is a hub for Eurowings and quite busy during the winter months.

Salzburg Airport is located in a densely populated area, just west of the city and east of the border with Germany. The airport is accessible via exit ‘Flughafen’ of the A1 motorway (West Autobahn), the A10 motorway (Tauern Autobahn) is also nearby.

Salzburg Airport consists of two terminals. Terminal 1 is the main building, Terminal 2 is much smaller.
