Samos Airport is an international airport in eastern Greece close to the mainland of Turkey. The airport is mainly used in the sunny summer months. The capital of the island is Samos Town, consisting of Kato Vathy (lower town) and Ano Vathy (upper town). Near the airport there are places of historical interest such as Pythagoreion and Heraion of Samos and Tunnel of Eupalinos (aqueduct).
