São Paulo Guarulhos Airport is one of the three commercial airports serving São Paulo, together with São Paulo Congonhas Airport and São Paulo Campinas Airport. If you’ve booked an international flight to São Paulo, there’s a high chance you’ll arrive at São Paulo Guarulhos Airport, the other two airports are used almost exclusively for domestic flights. São Paulo Guarulhos Airport opened in 1985 and is now the largest airport in Brazil based on the number of passengers. The airport has three terminals and two runways, most flights are operated by LATAM Airlines and GOL Airlines. There are multiple excellent hotels near the airport.

The airport has three terminals, from west to east: Terminal 1 (Check-in A), Terminal 2 (Check-in B, C, D, E) and Terminal 3 (Check-in F, G, H). Terminals T2 and T3 are interconnected, Terminal 1 is accessible by a free shuttle bus service. Terminal 1 is the smallest terminal and only used by the Brazilian airline Azul Airlines. Terminal 2 has two concourses known as West Pier (domestic flights) and East Pier (domestic and international flights). In the near future, the airport will have two additional concourses, one between T1 and T2 (Pier T2L) and one between T2 and T3 (Pier T3B).
