Seattle-Tacoma Airport, also known as Sea-Tac Airport, is the largest airport in the northwest of the United States. The airport is home to Alaska Airlines and also widely used by Delta Air Lines. The airport consists of three terminals and three runways. In addition to Seattle-Tacoma Airport, the Seattle metropolitan area has two more airports, namely King County International Airport (Boeing Field) and Paine Field Airport on the Boeing Everett Factory site (book an interesting Boeing Plant Tour). Downtown Seattle is accessible by public transportation (Link Light Rail) and taxi from Seattle-Tacoma Airport.

Seattle-Tacoma Airport is located exactly between Vancouver Airport in Canada (152 miles / 245 km) and Portland Airport, Oregon (165 miles / 265 km).

Where is Seattle-Tacoma Airport situated?

The airport is located in SeaTac south of Seattle (760,000 residents) and northeast of Tacoma (220,000 residents). Seattle, Tacoma and Spokane are the three largest cities in the State of Washington. By car, the airport is accessible via State Route 99 (SR 99), also known as Pacific Highway.

How many terminals does Seattle-Tacoma Airport have?

Seattle-Tacoma Airport has three terminals, namely Main Terminal (Concourses A, B, C, D) North Satellite (boarding gates N) and South Satellite (boarding gates S). The main terminal and satellite terminals are linked to each other by means of automated people movers known as the Satellite Transit System. The system consists of three different routes. One circuit connects Concourse A, B and South Satellite, another circuit connects Concourse C, D and North Satellite, Concourse A and Concourse D are also connected by an automated people mover.
