General information

Seoul Gimpo Airport is the busiest airport in South Korea after Seoul Incheon Airport and Jeju Airport. The airport serves domestic flights as well as international flights to destinations in East Asia. All international long-haul flights depart from Seoul Incheon Airport. Seoul Gimpo Airport consists of two runways and two terminals, known as International Terminal and Domestic Terminal. The centre of Seoul is accessible by public transport (AREX train and metro), bus and taxi.

Where is Seoul Gimpo Airport located?

The airport is located west of Seoul, easily accessible via National Route 48, which connects the centre of Seoul (Jongno District) with Ganghwa County, near the North Korean border. Seoul Gimpo Airport (20 km) is conveniently located, closer to the city than Seoul Incheon Airport (60 km).

How many terminals does Seoul Gimpo Airport have?

Seoul Gimpo Airport has two terminals, one for international flights and one for domestic flights. International Terminal is located north of Domestic Terminal. The Airport Shuttle Bus runs daily between the terminals from 08:00 hours to 23:00 hours, this free bus departs every 12 to 15 minutes from both terminals. The National Aviation Museum of Korea is within walking distance of Domestic Terminal, a must-see for anyone interested in aviation (in South Korea).
