Seoul Incheon Airport is the busiest airport in South Korea, home to Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jin Air and T’way Air. The airport is located on a man-made piece of land between the islands of Yongyu (west) and Yeongjong (east). Seoul has two airports, long-distance flights depart from Seoul Incheon Airport, while most domestic flights depart from Seoul Gimpo Airport. Seoul Incheon Airport is located on an island west of Incheon and Seoul, the capital of South Korea. You can reach the airport by car via Expressway No.130 (Yeongjong Bridge) and Expressway No.110 (Incheon Bridge).
How many terminals does Seoul Incheon Airport have?
South Korea’s busiest airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 in the south and Terminal 2 in the north. There is a Midfield Concourse as well, between the two terminals, accessible by shuttle train (IAT Intra Airport Transit) from terminals T1 and T2. The shuttle train can only be used by passengers who have passed through security. Terminal 2 is Seoul Incheon Airport’s newest terminal, opened in January 2018. Landside, you can travel between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 by shuttle bus and train. The shuttle bus is for free, a journey takes 15 to 18 minutes. For the Airport Railroad Express (AREX) train, you need to buy a ticket worth 900 KRW, a train ride takes only 8 minutes.
