Split Airport is the second busiest airport in Croatia, after Zagreb Airport. The airport in Dalmatia is close to Split, the historic town of Trogir and the beautiful islands Brač and Hvar. The centre, train station, bus station and the port of Split can be reached by bus and taxi from Split Airport.
Where is Split Airport situated?
Split Airport is located west of Split in Kaštela, a collection of seven smaller villages. The airport is situated not far from the A1/E65, the longest motorway (autocesta) in Croatia that connects the north with the south.
How many terminals does Split Airport have?
The airport has one terminal consisting of the old terminal and the modern new part of the terminal. The new part of the terminal was officially put into use on 13 July 2019, as a result of which the capacity increased from 14,000 m2 to 50,000 m2. Both parts of the terminal are interconnected and have their own Departures and Arrivals area. The new bus station and parking lots are accessible via a pedestrian bridge.
