Tivat Airport is the larger of the two international airports in Montenegro, located south of the town of Tivat and Porto Montenegro. The airport is mainly used during the summer, as point of arrival for the tourist destinations Tivat, Kotor, Perast and Budva. Tivat Airport is known among pilots for its challenging approach and landing procedures. It is not possible to travel by public transport to and from Tivat Airport, you can rent a car or take a taxi.
Tivat Airport is, like Podgorica Airport near the capital, owned by Airports of Montenegro (Aerodromi Crne Gore).
Where is Tivat Airport situated?
The airport is situated in southwestern Montenegro, northwest of the popular seaside resort of Budva. The E65/E80 motorway is located near the airport, via the street ‘Jadranska magistrala’ you will get to Tivat Airport by car.
How many terminals does Tivat Airport have?
The airport has two terminals since December 2018, when Terminal 2 was officially opened. The new terminal has six check-in desks (21 to 26) and is intended for departing passengers only. Terminal 1 is larger and consists of a Departures hall and Arrivals hall. Terminal 1 includes twelve check-in desks, an information desk, car rental companies and desks of Montenegro Airlines and Air Serbia.
