Tromsø is located in the far north of Norway, far above the Arctic Circle. Most flights to and from the airport are operated by Wideroe and Scandinavian Airlines. The centre of Tromsø is accessible by bus and taxi.

Tromsø Airport is situated northwest of the city on the island of Tromsøya. The E8 motorway is located near the airport, Tromsø Airport is easily accessible through this road.

How many terminals does Tromsø Airport have?

Tromsø Airport has one modern terminal, the airport’s renovated terminal opened in 2024. Previously, the airport consisted of two terminals, i.e. the older moon-shaped Terminal B (from 1977) and the newer Terminal A with three jet bridges (from 1997).
