Ukraine

Ukraine

Ukraine is the third largest country in Europe, located in Eastern Europe at the Black Sea. It is after Russia and Kazakhstan the largest republic of the former Soviet Union. The capital of the country is Kiev, north of the city you can find Chernobyl. A nuclear disaster occurred at this place in 1986. Kiev is the city with the highest population. However, the cities of Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odessa and Donetsk also have more than a million inhabitants. These cities became more attractive to foreign tourists in the last couple of years, unfortunately, the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine put a spanner in the works.
