The airport is named after Hosea Kutako, a freedom fighter and nationalist leader from Namibia. Windhoek Hosea Kutako Airport offers international connections to Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Domestic flights, including to Walvis Bay, are carried out by FlyNamibia. They also operate flight from the much smaller Windhoek Eros Airport.
