Nice small airport. Tip of a lifetime though is, DO NOT take a taxi from the airport unless you can agree a fix price. The estimated prices you find on travel website are pure fantasy. My taxi ride charged Zl 155, no delays, fairly empty roads. Not the Zl some websites would have you believe. That was first, last time. If you are going to Wroclaw train station, take a bus. 4 stars for the airport, zero for the taxi.
It's a nice little airport and all seemed to go very well on our arrival. Passport control was OK- would be good to see the security officers smile now and again. You are greeting people to your country after all - they could have gone anywhere in the world but they chose Wroclaw?! Go on - smile.
Coming back, we had a 22.20 flight to Stansted. We passed through bag security, no worries and a smile from the young lady made all the difference. Again, when going through passport control, he was not for smiling. Shame. Anyway, we were told, over an hour before our flight, to head for passport control and into a tiny area, where there were not enough seats for everyone to sit and wait for over an hour. Had we stayed in the main airport lounge, we had the airport seating to ourselves. What is the point of this herding mentality please? There were women with young children having to stand, older people too - this isn't a good advert for your country, treating people as though you really don't care about them. Not sure if it's the airline at fault on that point,but if this is par for the course, the airport needs to allocate more space and seating while customers have to wait.
We used the local bus and tram service to and from the airport / city centre (106 and 23) - no problem. You buy your tickets for both before you get on the bus/tram and validate on the vehicle. So cheap compared to taxi.
Covid testin center disaster!!! Paid 360 zloty for 2 test to come of the quarantine and then on my fly back I've find out I'm still on the quarantine in the system and unfortunately I can't fly back.
Any of my test has not been sent to sanepid , when I asked them why they said they don't care and told me to move as other people waiting to pay for testes.
Prices in the duty free shop are ridiculous! Bottle of water 12 zloty (in normal shop 2.50)
People on security chcke rude! Especially women's, you can't say nothing to them think they know everything best.
